Backpacking Reports from 2002 to the present
or a couple of years now I've maintained this page as an index to all my hiking exploits. Over that period my hiking
has stratified, if you will, into a couple of directions which I will very roughly characterize as "Backpacking" and
"Peakbagging". To keep each category to a more manageable size I have separated these reports into two
pages. This split will allow me to add more general purpose
information to the Peakbagging section, such as lists of peaks I am working on.
The first secion below is all about the AT. The trips done in 2002 are in order from the Delaware water gap and north, but
then in 2003 I jumped down to Harper's Ferry Virginia and did 124 miles to Duncannon PA. This is the southermost section
so it's listed first. And that gap between Duncannon and the Delaware water gap, over a hundred milews is stil TBD.
The last AT section ending at Katahdin also contains about a week of peakbagging, so I'll put that in again on
the peakbagging page. Hey! putting it in twice is better than not at all.
There's also a small section of backpacking trips not on the AT, or not primarily on the AT — sometimes you just can't avoid it.
